Six ladies went to Upavon Golf Course on 27th September for a charity competition. The format was a ‘Waltz’ with over 25 teams playing. Jill, Freddie and Aileen scored an impressive 73 points which put them in 4th place at the end of the competition. A big accomplishment considering the weather and the toughness of this course.
We also have six ladies attending another charity day at Chippenham Golf Club in November. For next year I now hope to be able to organise friendly matches with the Oaksey Ladies and the Ladies at Whitley Golf Club too.
We should also be able to schedule a mixed friendly against The 3 Wiltshire and, it is hoped, that the Ladies Golf and Coffee mornings that Jill has been researching, will become a regular event.
